Located at 1000 N Ridgeland Ave., William Hatch Elementary serves kindergarten through fifth grade as part of Oak Park's Public School District. Built in 1922, the 365 students currently enrolled at William Hatch Elementary enjoy an average class size of 20 and a student-to-teacher ratio of 13-to-1.
52% of William Hatch's students test at or above required proficiency levels in math and science and students can opt to supplement the school's basic curriculum with Spanish, French or German twice a week. I had 2 kids graduate from Hatch Elementary. Both did excellently at Brooks Middle School & OPRF High School.. The oldest is now in college and was very well prepared. I cannot say enough about the education that my children have received in Oak Park, IL.
