Going to Portage High School, was an experience during covid. I didn't like it when we were virtual most of the freshman year, but overall, it's a good school. I like it here. Yes, some of the kids are judgemental, but that's gonna be everywhere. The football games are fun to go to, and the student parking is nice. When your a senior you get to paint your own parking spot, which is amazing. I love it.

My high school experience was interesting, there were so many ups and downs, my freshman year I dealt with covid and by sophomore and junior year my mental health took a turn for the worst and was the worst part of high school. Now in my Senior year and I made a promise to take better care of myself and now thats how I feel, Im finding myself again and its the best thing that happened in my years of highschool. I would like to see myself change into a more independent, smart, and confident woman.

Incompetent school board. Unqualified Superintendent. Low school rankings in test scores for all levels of education. Safety is a joke. Lots of drugs and sex in the bathrooms that the school doesn't report. There is no Portage Pride anymore.

School (mainly it’s students and some staff) is full of racism, homophobia, bullying, body shaming and so much more. It feels like a toxic environment. Horrible, I was severely bullied for being underweight due to my stomach disease and all of the councilors put it off like it was no big deal and I should just "love myself no matter what they say" instead of putting forth the effort to stop the bullying in the first place. It's a big school, so there are definitely all the problems that are usually present when you get a ton of teenagers together. However, the opportunities available at this school are fantastic. Athletics are great, but the opportunity for dual credit classes is phenomenal.
