The best part about Portage High School is the availability for everyone to get along in some way. There are plenty of clubs for an interest that suits you. I would change the protection of the school. People are crazy these days and for such a big school I feel 2 SRO's are not enough to cover the grounds

Portage High School has a lot to improve on. There are so many students at this school that their are simply not enough resources to go around. A lot of my classes also did not properly prepare me for the SAT or AP exams.

Incompetent school board. Unqualified Superintendent. Low school rankings in test scores for all levels of education. Safety is a joke. Lots of drugs and sex in the bathrooms that the school doesn't report. There is no Portage Pride anymore.

Now, when it comes to act...

It's a big school, so there are definitely all the problems that are usually present when you get a ton of teenagers together. However, the opportunities available at this school are fantastic. Athletics are great, but the opportunity for dual credit classes is phenomenal.
