PS 169 Sunset Park School is an elementary school offering a dual language enrichment program in English and Mandarin/Spanish for students in kindergarten through fifth grade. Students from kindergarten to second grade are immersed in literacy programs based in phonemics awareness and phonics learning. Children explore science with the school garden and a commitment to sustainability with a zero-waste mentality lead by the school's Green Team. After school enrichment programs include a diverse array of choices based on grade-level including math, art, music and language-based offerings.
Sunset Park School also offers a school-based health program led by the Family Center at NYU Langone and includes primary, mental health and dental services to students with no out-of-pocket costs for services, and offers options for both the insured and uninsured.

It's a great and diverse school. It's amazingly inclusive. You feel welcomed here whenever you come to meet with principal , administrators , counselors and teachers as well as main office staff.
