Reinhardt Elementary has a long and storied history, just like the community it serves. Initially founded in the 1880s as a schoolhouse for settler children, the site underwent many renovations and served many purposes, including as a depot for the Santa Fe Railroad. Reinhardt Elementary, as it is known today, was finished in 1941 and has served the greater community since.
With an emphasis on character building, the school offers music, art, orchestra, small group instructional support, and the Talented and Gifted Program. This pursuit has proven successful, earning Reinhardt the Dallas Independent School District's Character Counts School of Character Award numerous times.
The campus is also a part of the Cool Schools Neighborhood Park initiative, a national program to increase the number of parks within walking distance of communities nationwide. As part of the program, Reinhardt Elementary's playground is open to the public after hours and on weekends. It offers climbing equipment, swings and bright murals, once again acting as a Dallas community staple.

This has been a horrible experience! The teacher and principal take no responsibility or accountability. From not teaching the lessons to falsified grades. The assignments the students are given are well below their grade level.The substitute demonstrates corporal discipline on the students.

Reinhardt is just an amazing school, as a former alumni, and current parent of a student. They are under new leadership and the new principal is doing amazing things. Their parent involvement has increased and they have been super great with accommodations.
