The high school did not prepare me for what college life will look like. The teachers and not strict enough and from the few college classes I have taken it is completely different from high school classes. The assignments are more for busy work rather than learning in the high school setting.

Overall my experience with Union High School would be considered decent. Most facilities are good for the students and teachers, but within the sporting facilities small town names seem to be favored.

I feel like the Math program is a bit lacking. Personally, I feel like I did not learn a lot of math in high school and I am in the honors program. I am now taking concurrent enrollment Math 1050 and I feel so far because the professor expects us to already know what we should have previously learned, and our bases knowledge is just not there. I also feel that the counselors are uninformed. Every time I go to my counselor with a question about concurrent enrollment or what classes I should be taking to set me up for my future career, I am constantly met with answers of "I'm not sure" or "I don't know." It's very annoying when your counselors are supposed to know how to help you with your classes.

It seems like the administration at Union do not consistently do anything-discipline included. My daughter said there weren't consequence...

Union has gone to the dogs. No more ambition in the students for after school activities. everyone stands around at dances. underfunded sports, athletes hardly care either. their region is full of private recruiting schools which isn't fair. teachers are sarcastic and dry. a depressing place if you...
