Independence High School in Downtown Roswell lives up to its name, offering students a variety of instruction methods to catch up on credits, graduate early or experience a nontraditional learning environment. This “school of choice,” made up of students from other area schools, has a smaller student body, between 200-300 students, with smaller class sizes and “blended” schedules that allow qualified students to combine online instruction with classroom instruction. Students learn at their own pace with one-on-one attention from teachers. Students who have gotten behind in their studies can catch up in this environment, while other students can have an opportunity to learn at a faster pace and graduate early.

It was my best move for me. I transfered from Roswell High School and I have never looked back. I graduated early. This school is not for everyone, but it's what I needed. I was motivated and driven when I left. This school and the faculty got me back on track. This is where I grew up. Thank you.

To begin with, one of the things I enjoyed about this school was the time we went in and the time we left the school. This made it very easy for me to focus on my homework outside of school.

The administration was good. They were strict when it came to the rules, especially dress code violations.

Fulton County School's best kept secret! A school who lives it's mission of "success for all students". My child was just about to give up on school until I learned about Independence. The Principal, teachers and staff are very supportive. I proud to say my child will graduate in December!
