My overall experience at Sequim High has been a mix of good and bad. Although I love my home area, I don't think it is always safe, although most high schools could likely say the same. Within the first few months of my senior year, we had gotten 2 (possibly more) threats of shooting, and even though our security maintained our safety, some were still skeptical of sending some kids to school for the next few days following the threats. My best part of high school would have to be the music area of our school, as we had been provided with exciting and fun experiences that boosted our time in high school as well as supported our love for learning the art area of school.

I mean to be honest it's not the most accepting school and is pretty conservative but it's a small town and whateva so it's to be expected plus doesn't affect me. Teachers are really nice but students aren't if you're not white and straight. It's an old rundown building but they take care of it and have good resources for Ag and sports. Not so much art and music but you can easily get those at the college or get a waiver. So yeah even though it doesn't effect me you will def get bullied if you're not like everyone else

My overall experience with Sequim High School has been good. My time at this school has been good overall, I do two sports with Sequim High School. I do both tennis and soccer, I am very happy with them both and had some great memories.

Very Clique-ish groups seem to dominate the environment. From what I've seen, kids with disabilities tend to get thrown under the bus by other kids. It is the exclusiveness displayed by many of the groups.

SHS is lacking in many areas. The athletics program is mildly successful, with a rather good Cross Country and Basketball program. Our Jazz band has been excellent in the past as well. However, class offerings are somewhat limiting, with a lack of higher level math classes. Also, many teachers are m...
