Several staff members were disgruntled about the dismissal of Daniel Picca, who as it turns out never should have been assigned to the school. (Washington Post wrote an editorial about how MCPS handled Picca.) The disgruntled staff members in their campaign to get the principal fired created a poisonous environment for their colleagues and their students. Those staff members no longer are at Kemp Mill, but I wish I had pulled my child out so that we didn't have to deal with the drama during the 2010-11 and 2011-12 school years.
