I hated going here, the teachers rely on each other when they're unable to do their job, and the safety regulations are terrible. There is aspendos in the ceilings and security literally PEALED the warning stickers off for the safety inspection by the county. It's the most historically discriminated school in the county and nothing has changed in the past 90 years. Ms Dunlap's great though if you're interested in literacy or politics take Model UN.

It's not very fun to go there. The gym is in a separate building and the auditorium is infested with a fungus disease thing. It has an okay curriculum and okay teachers but I found myself being very sad to go there every day.

I attended this school back in 2013, and although middle school isn't fun for anyone, SSI was alright. It's in a good location, granted I don't know if the purple line will make it better or worse. I liked most of my teachers, and got to know the attendance secretary pretty well. The Spanish immersion program and probably the French program too are the best reason to choose this school. Kids who want to be ahead in high school, these language classes count for high school credit.
