I am a high school graduate and I graduated from Smith Valley High. I loved it there. The classes are small, but also not too small. The classes are just the right size with students and the teachers are willing to help with anything to help succeed in school and to be able to participate in anything.

The school safety system is okay but effective, because there is little to no violence at the school. The police are nearby, so they can get to the school quickly if we need them. But there are few safety measures that the school uses, mostly limited to security cameras and having most of the school doors locked.

Everyone is involved in at least one extracurricular activity. There is Block SV, National Honor Society, junior varsity and varsity sports, student council, cultural activities club, 4-H, FFA, and many other clubs to participate in.

My grandchildren have been attending this school for years. They are all excelling in their classes due to the teachers that care so much about each individual child.
