Some of my favorite experiences were participating in club activities. The Science Club collects recycled goods around the high school, and goes on a trip to the Shaw Nature Reserve each year. There is also the Fireball lock-in hosted by SADD, which includes fun activities and information about drug safety.

This school was great in terms of memories and people that I will never forget and it was a great environment to grow up in. However, the academics play to the lowest denominator and don't let kids advance in subjects they are interested/good in. They instead try to keep bringing the learning level down instead of having kids work up to harder subjects.

At sports teams at Sparta are Football, Golf, Volleyball, Cross Country, Boys & Girls Basketball, Cheerleading, Track & Field, and Baseball/Softball. The clubs are limitless, but not very educational.

Have permanent mental problems as a result of neglectful principal and teachers. They'd rather build a new gymnasium then pay their teachers a living wage.

As a former student of the Sparta School District, and now the parent of two children in the schools, I can say from both sides that we have an excellent teaching staff, administration at the schools, and curriculum, that challenges the students. There are a great array of sports and extra curricula...
