We wanted a Catholic school with high academic standards for our kids. DeChantal set up our kids with a solid foundation of faith and learning. The teachers in the lower grades are gentle and caring. The lower grades are filled with young teachers who bring new teaching ideas and life into this traditional school. The resource program is small but the younger children get one-on-one help and the older grades are given wonderful support but we wish there were more than one resource teacher for the upper grades. The teachers are kind and understanding but firm with rules and expectations of student behavior. Parents are heavily relied upon to volunteer. The upper grade teachers are a mix of talented veteran teachers and young energetic new teachers although we hope they bring back the Science Fair. Their specials like PE are fun and their Art teacher is a favorite of our younger children. Their new STEM lab program is very impressive. We wouldn't send our kids anywhere else.

This school has an amazing community. Parents are involved, the teachers and administration WANT to be here. This is evident by the number of people who return to DeChantal later in life to teach or to send their own children to school. There are many traditions that make this a fun place for students and allows "kids to be kids". We feel very fortunate to be a part of the DeChantal family.

My family has been involved with the De Chantal community for decades. This is a wonderful and vibrant community of educators and enthusiastic students. I would highly recommend this faith-filled school to any family.
