I don't think this is a terrible school. The teachers here are helpful and there isn't too many things going around to distract us from our learning. I feel it is a safe environment. I took off a star just because of the food here and because it has gotten worse year after year.

Calhoun County High School isn't the worst high school there is. Here I can say I was able to shine above the rest because I'm surrounded by people who don't have the same drive as me. The teachers are great at doing their jobs, and some of them are also fun to be around. What I don't like is how this school district pushes failing kids through. It makes it feel like there is no reward for being a good student.

I have been attending Calhoun County High School since 2018. My AP courses teach me about an abundance of topics. The food is one of the things about the school that should change drastically. There aren't many options to choose from. We need healthier and tastier food options. We are a poor school and do not get many opportunities such as performing arts and certain sports. We do not have a tennis court nor a tennis team. I think they should add tennis to the list of sports options.

Before anyone decides to post a grammatical message and criticize someone else s penmanship, maybe one should review their own mistakes, and get someone to edit their misspelled comments. With that said..... Students do as well as their parents encourage them to. When a child becomes 14 years old (h...

The district needs to improve the quality of parent/teacher communication by utilizing updated communication devices i.e. the e-mail (which does not always work) and by installing an automated phone system whereby parents can receive information regarding absences, tardies etc. Moreover, teachers sh...

I honestly don't know how or why this school hasn't been completely overhauled. My child was a A-B average student until we moved to this county and was placed in the school system here. I saw previous comments of the grammar used in message contents. Believe me, its used by the teachers there also....
