The college readiness is a flaw of the school, we had designated time for advisory period once a week but most of my teachers did nothing and treated it as a study hall. They need to teach things like financial aid, how to apply for scholarships, and general university requirements vs major classes. School spirit and encouragement was good, it usually felt like a positive environment. Some staff were great and the music and arts classes were fantastic.

Steilacoom Highschool is a very diverse school with wonderful people who will be your friends for life. The teaching staff is amazing and the teachers care about every students well being equally. Though they may be strict on rules at times, they really care about the students and will do anything in their power to help.

Throughout the 4 years I've attended Steilacoom high school, I have always felt welcome and have enjoyed coming to school every day. The people that you meet at steilacoom will become lifelong friends.
