The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

As a recent graduate of 2024, I can say Stephenson High School has been an interesting experience, both teachers, other staff and students have helped me on my journey to who I will be and who I am today. Best parts about this school I would say is the bonds and good friends people can find when they are new at this school. I would say the worst part would probably be the number of the kids in school, there's quite a bit but is lacking. Overall though I can say this school was kind and by far the best time I had so far.

This school is not the greatest, however I would choose to go here if I had to do it all over again because I still think it is the best school in my area. This school has not always been the best school to go to, but I have had many good times through the years. I enjoy participating in the sports and clubs that my school offers. I especially love how much the school and community comes together to support our sports teams. Being able to play sports at this school has been one of my favorite experiences and I would want to play for any other school in my area.

My overall experience at this school so far would be that this school is fun and the teachers care a lot about the students and try to help them even if they don't care about school they still try. For how small of a school we are we are really good in our athletic department, and just how our school is set up I think is the best. I would choose this school again because it is just amazing, the classes are fun and the teachers are nice and friendly. They want you to succeed and to never give up. I love how they push you to become the person you are and how they show how smart you are by just letting you be yourself.
Horrible bullying. Would not recommend sending a child into this. Reporting to coaches and teachers is useless. Other schools districts bus kids out of Stephenson would recommend one of those instead.
There are many positives to having a child enrolled in this school. They really care about the students and many go above and beyond to help any students that are struggling with academics or other things that are important like home life etc..
