The school itself is very tight nit for sure. The school has a lot of academic problems and communication problems for which the students have to deal with them in the end. I will admit that some of the teachers genuinely love teaching and have inspired many students to follow the paths they've chosen.

I have attended Stone Mountain High School since my 9th grade year and I am currently a senior. Throughout all of those years there has been plenty of physical outbreaks, and the school spirit isn't as strong as other high schools. The academics are pretty good if you're willing to learn and put in the work. I have had great teachers all throughout the years except maybe 1. We also have had difficulty finding teachers to fill in classes from the teaching shortage.

It is an average highschool that excels with college readiness and preparing their seniors for real life but the food and other aspects of the school is very poor

This is the worst school in dekalb county the environment is horrible and they don’t care about the students. I have been in a lock down for 2 hr we haven’t ate and they won’t let us go to the bathroom or get food. The school is emotional draining and I would say go to every school but this 1
