Sandy Hook has a lot of parent volunteers, but it lacks the real basics, such as textbooks. I could not believe my 4th grader had no textbooks -- just photocopied worksheets and old standardized tests. The teacher quality also drops sharply after the younger grades (K-2 or 3).
