We are now a New Tech Highschool which means are technology based and work out of Macbooks instead of books. This change sky high school experience because it opened up the world more by allowing me to find new things faster and easier on the internet.

I feel that all of the teachers, or facilitators, could do a better at their job. Some of the facilitators do quite well at the their job, while other do not. The majority of the problem at Hillcrest is the facilitators grading abilities. At times student go quite sometime waiting on assignments to be graded. This can be a problem for student if say they turn something in, then it not get graded for two weeks. This could effect the students if they have a low grade, and could cause the student to possibly fail that class.

Some teacher here at Hillcrest really do go above and beyond. They really care about what they are doing, this is shown in the everyday class room. Where there are other whom you can tell are only here for the pay check. I for one can not blame them for trying to get paid thats just how the world goes around, but it seems its more complicated than most students understand. Overall the teachers do provide a good learning environment.

My three kids have went to the school for two years now. They have been bullied by other kids yet the principal and supt never do anything about it, yet when my kids stand up for themselves they get in trouble. This school works on the "good ol boy" system, if you've got a big name you've got it mad...

If your child is involved in basketball, then this is the school for you. Otherwise, nobody gives a hoot. Sports is the focus and the accomplishments of students who are not in sports or another special program are barely acknowledged. There is virtually no communication from the school to the paren...

I moved my kids to Hillcrest from a larger school. My boys have more attention from the teachers and administration. They are able to participate in a wide variety of activities. And they are building great relationships with other students. Proud to be a Screamin' Eagle family. -- M Powell
