Here there is not a major threat to the people, if there is a gun the school resource officer has it or it's in the truck of a guy who went hunting. There has never been a threat but it is always possible. I for one believe it is important to understand that taking safety into account is important.

Here at Hillcrest most students have to opportunity to talk with teachers about a problem relating to school or even personal. Its a small school so most everybody gets along. I would come back again for that very reason, the relationship built with the students and faculty. Although i can see that some students do not feel the same way, and to me that is a problem that should be addressed.

My three kids have went to the school for two years now. They have been bullied by other kids yet the principal and supt never do anything about it, yet when my kids stand up for themselves they get in trouble. This school works on the "good ol boy" system, if you've got a big name you've got it mad...

If your child is involved in basketball, then this is the school for you. Otherwise, nobody gives a hoot. Sports is the focus and the accomplishments of students who are not in sports or another special program are barely acknowledged. There is virtually no communication from the school to the paren...

I moved my kids to Hillcrest from a larger school. My boys have more attention from the teachers and administration. They are able to participate in a wide variety of activities. And they are building great relationships with other students. Proud to be a Screamin' Eagle family. -- M Powell
