Overall a great experience. The teachers changed a lot so communication wasn't good a lot of the times. They do offer some good electives for the students and they do work to improve the school and it's facilities often.

Sturgeon was a small town school, so it was hard for teachers to be taken seriously. They seemed to not really have control of the classroom. There was one teacher that really stood out to me that was an awesome teacher, but he no longer works there.

Since this was a small town school, it was very close knit which was awesome! Everybody knew everybody and sometimes that can be good, or it can be bad.

Sturgeon High is a rural public high school serving Boone and Randolph county students. I was surprised that this school actually utilizes the resources available in a efficient manner. For a smaller low tax base district, they still seem to offer quite a few options for students.

This school is in need of more knowledgeable instruction in the areas of English and Geometry according to the MAP tests.
