I have been in Braxton County. I do not think it is a bad school system, but it also isn't a place I would want to send my children. We have poor athletic programs and we have teachers that aren't committed to their students. We have some teachers that do really well teaching us, but other classes have just tended to be a waste of time. I am not going to say I haven't learned anything, but I believe that I have been pretty poorly prepared for college.

Some teachers actually teach, and others let kids run around like chickens with their heads cut off.

Braxton County High School is one of the worst schools in the state. If you're not planning on going into welding or carpentry, then good luck finding a classification you will like. As for teacher's, all of the one's who actually care about the students and teaching end up moving away because they are treated so unfairly. All that is left are young teachers that don't really care. I was not at all prepared for college and I felt like my four years were a waste. I was lucky enough to have three teachers that made my four years worth it.

It wasnt a good school when i went there and now they are telling kids they have to take flags off their vehicles and suspending them. Its depriving them of their education and as a parent and proof of what's going on will be contacting a lawyer, news and anything else that i can do. This is a free...
