It feels like a jail. I feel as though instead of making us feel like prisoners they could give us more leniency. The standard dress code and all that is fine yet some of the teachers act more like students then teachers making it very hard to learn the given material. It's not the best place to make friends. it's messy and unprecedented. Although i do love my principal

My overall experience, has changed over the years. I was a little old 9th grader afraid of going to the wrong class or getting lost, but I can say I came out of that shell. The worst part of all 4 of my years was 10th but then again was I had to deal with Covid & were many restrictions. The best part was my junior and senior, at that point things got a little better.

Upson Lee High was a good high School with there being plenty of sports and clubs to join. However, the Honors classes were, in my opinion, a better environment for learning since no one was in the mindset of 'school is whatever'. Normal classes tended to be very slow run and there were too many chances for students who didn't do work to do the late assignments. Which I thought was odd since colleges aren't lenient on late assignments.

Only giving them either a day in ISS or just a talk-down. The teachers, some might be the best teachers that have...
