Dulaney High School is a comprehensive four-year public high school in Cockeysville, Maryland, with a large enrollment of approximately 2,000 students in ninth through 12th grade. Located just blocks from Fox Hollow Golf Course, Dulaney boasts a high graduation rate and an impressive array of clubs, activities and specialized programs, including the Advanced Placement program and Student Service Learning projects. Sports teams at Dulaney High School are competitive, with both boys’ and girls’ lacrosse performing well against other schools. Dulaney also has an active marching band and popular field hockey team. A student-run newspaper and literary arts magazine offers students a creative outlet. As one of the largest schools in the area, Dulaney can overwhelm students from smaller elementary or middle schools. Forming close relationships with peers and teachers can be challenging, and the grounds can seem more like a campus than a cohesive school. However, a large school also brings a more robust support system, and some students excel in a busier school environment.

The best part is the community of students. I think we could improve our facilities, but we are glad to be getting a new school soon.

Best: getting to know others and able to do activities with them, creating bonds with my teachers, getting honor roll, student of the month, etc. Bad: fights between others, not understanding teaching, etc.

My overall experience was good. Out of my 3 years of attending Dulaney, I was exposed to a more diverse environment, and various clubs and sports to choose from. I dealt with one teacher who was a traditional teacher and made things difficult. But other than that, I give it a 7.5/10

Dulaney prepared our daughter for college with challenging courses and lots of club/after-school options. The physical building needs improvement but the students still succeed!

This school helps students prepare to score well in PSAT and SAT, and focus to prepare for good colleges. I like all my daughter’s teachers, they are really working hard

Building is falling apart and the county currently has no concrete plans to replace it (they may actually remodel Towson High before they do a new Dulaney, even though Towson's building is OK and the school is doing better). Dulaney has no AC, you can't drink the water (lead pipes), and mostly poor/...

Very disappointed with Dulaney. Direct communication is non-existent. Emails are rarely returned. There is no support or guidance from school counselors. Students teach themselves. This is not the educational experience I wanted for my children. The school environment is depressing. The physical fac...
