My time spent at Desert View High School has completely changed who I am. Being a First Generation Student does not seem as scary within this community because there are many like you. The teachers themselves really do encourage students to do their best and active what they want by pushing their limits.

My best experience have been my teachers and classes along with my friends but I am naive and extremely optimistic so what may seem good to me seems to be the complete opposite for other, which tend to be just about everybody else.

I had written an entire review but it didn't save and I am not willing to write it all again. Here's the gist. We have many technical classes and are partnered with a local technical education district to get people trained into the workforce. The Sunnyside district itself is partnered with our police department to have an officer on campus for safety as we live in the south side of Tucson. We have a diverse and social community and it is very easy to find your people. We are also a town that is close to the Arizona Mexico border so we have a very large Latinx community.

Very unorganized! I feel as though there is no help here to improve as a student- not even from the counselors. However, taking advanced classes does challenge you much more. But overall, the school needs much much improvement with staff being more respectful (specifically office staff) to students...

As a parent I've seen how my daughter is getting ready for university or collage with the AVID program. She doesn't need to go to pa private school to get this.
