I love it so far. It's nice being at a school like this because I've met a lot of friends and already feel somewhat prepared for college which is great.

My experience has been great at this school. DCPS offers a lot of great resources for students to use and prepped me in career readiness to have experience under my belt to elevate me compared to other students straight out of high school. The academies offered by the school are a great advantage to get ahead and do amazing things very early on with professional companies or amazing schools.
5.0 Sophomore

I transferred to this school in Sophomore year from another school in the city and it's so good so much better than my last school. This school has basically everything, the teachers are good, there are tons of classes to choose from and a lot of sports and clubs and a lot of people participate in clubs. There are a lot of people but personally I don't mind it and it made it easy to find people I connect with. The class sizes are good and it doesn't feel too overcrowded to me. The arts are also good I'm doing a music ensemble as one of my classes and it's really good instruction.

As a teacher at Jackson-Reed High School (formerly Wilson), I can assure you that the pedagogical practices of the teachers are top notch and solid. With over 150 teachers and almost 2400 students in the building, there will always be a student who has an occasional difficulty with a teacher or has...

We sent our oldest son here when we first moved to DC based on the Great Schools rating. Our son, who is typically very socially adaptable and academically engaged, quickly lost interest in school and began showing signs of depression and anxiety. When we finally got him to talk about what was happe...
