I went to Janney Elementary School from Pre-K4 to Fifth Grade and I had a lot of fun. There isn't much importance placed on academics obviously, and looking back it seems like kind of a blur, since I can't really remember what I learned specifically. There were fun field trips though, so that's nice, and I never felt unsafe when I was there. It is in an amazing and safe location, and there are before school and after school childcare programs offered called JAC, which I took part in as long as I could.

Janney is a wonderful school and one of the best in DC. The teachers and staff foster a warm, nurturing environment that celebrates learning. The after-school programming is amazing and the community is very welcoming. It's an exceptional school!

This is one of the best schools in DC. The school and teachers are amazing, but what really sets Janney apart is the high quality of after-school programs that are offered to the kids. Janney's curriculum is dumbed down and the teachers in 3rd grade seem very apathetic. Most of the school personnel don't know who they children are and where they are in the school. The school promotes their liberal views and push them on the children. In general the teachers don't seem invested. I...
