I wish we had come to The Field School sooner. Our daughter started at Field in the 10th grade (a non traditional year to start high school) and she was welcomed and encouraged to be an engaged part of the community from the moment she was admitted. As parents we love Field because of the approach to teaching - students have a variety of ways that they can learn from their teachers and peers - the curriculum is engaging and the teachers know the students well and they work closely with the students. It's a place that brings out the best in each student and recognizes that kids have different strengths and goals and it's a welcoming community. I think it is an overlooked gem when parents are considering the many options for DC area private schools.

My daughter had an amazing experience at The Field School. She started in 7th grade after attending a very strict, traditional school 4th-6th. She really thrived at Field where they focused on her strengths and she was able to thrive and grow into a campus leader.

Teachers are amazing and it is a fun learning environment. Could be better in diversity. Great relationships between the student body and teachers. Food and facilities are amazing. The campus is clean and open, many places to go while still being on campus.

My son graduated from The Field School several years ago. Field changed his life. He became confident, well rounded, engaged. He went on to the Ivy League for grad and post grad work. As a parent of an alumni I am grateful for the dedication to well rounded students who are ready to contribute to th...

As a parent of a sixth grade student, we've been very impressed with the level of faculty and administrative involvement and support for our daughter. The school is extremely welcoming and has an incredible community.

My daughter had an amazing experience at The Field School. She started in 7th grade and came from a very traditional inside the box kind of school which was stifling. The Field School really knew how to bring out her strengths and the hands on, experiential learning environment allowed her to thrive...

Horrible attitude towards children’s socioemotional development. Racism amongst staff is barely addressed, mocking of student disabilities is ignored, parent concerns are dismissed with statements that “things have always been like that.” Advisory is a waste of time and there is no effort to foster...
