This is a small town, so everyone knows each other but there is a lot of drama that runs in town that causes chaos. Therefore, school and community does not run smoothly. But the athletic programs are decent, they could use some work.

I think education-wise there are good teachers. We have high state testing scores. I do think that our school lets things slide quite a bit that they probably should not.

Their education level is very low. Many teachers are rude and don't care about the students. The people that run certain events are very unfair.

Despite some changes definitely needing to be made on the school board, Waskom ISD is one of the best districts to raise your kids in east Texas. Every district has their problems but Waskom has made me and my family feel a part of everything from academics to sports and band! We love Waskom

Great family school. Safe and welcoming. We have been at Waskom ISD for three years and have been very pleased with the administration, faculty and staff, as well as the curriculum.

School spirit is at an all time high coming off an amazing football season. That's it. If you want your child to become average, this is the school for you. Teachers are average, administration is average, and some board members do not have school aged children , but are responsible for our children...
