I feel that I was well prepared for college. Biology and my history classes at Windber gave me the background knowledge necessary for college. All dual enrollment classes should be taken advantage of. However, the English program does not prepare all students to write college length papers. The school environment is not one that I would personally want to put my children in.

After four years here while it is not perfect, the strong academics and good teachers have gotten me ready for college.

Windber is very unique in the fact that everyone knows everyone. In a graduating class of only 68, I know everyone in my grade. However I don't know them just by name, I personally have a relationship with everyone in my school, and I wouldn't trade that for anything.

This school is great, my children are excited to learn and love their school and their friends. However, there is some racism and bullying but it's always handled quickly and efficiently. There's never any homework given to the kids which is a problem for me since I never know what they are learning...

There's not a lot of bullying, but no diversity at all. The guidance counselor is extremely kind and helpful, and most of the teachers really do care about their students.
