Tree-lined streets and cliffside views
Arbor Heights is almost exclusively comprised of single-family homes on quiet, gridded streets. Cozy bungalows with around 1,000 sq. ft. start around $500,000. Mid-century ranchers go for $700,000, and contemporary Craftsman homes with fenced lawns start at about $800,000. There aren't many sidewalks in the neighborhood, and although homes are close together, mature pines and wooden fences offer walls of privacy. Along the coast, houses sit on hillsides overlooking the Puget Sound. These sprawling luxury properties get over $1 million, and their front doors are accessible from the main road via a staircase.

Enjoy the Puget Sound
Even for those who don't have waterside properties, Seola Greenbelt Park and Arroyos Natural Area make the coast accessible to all residents. Fauntleroy Park and Seola Park border the neighborhood on either side, offering wilderness parks with wooded trails to explore. For structured fun, the Arbor Heights Swim and Tennis Club is membership-only and has a waitlist of several years. However, non-members can still sign up for swim and tennis lessons there. Schools with global perspectives
Arbor Heights is part of the Seattle Public Schools district. Arbor Heights Elementary School is walkable from homes in the neighborhood and receives a B-plus rating from Niche. Elementary school kids look forward to Young Authors Day, an annual celebration of student writing that includes a visit from a local children's book author and the opportunity to finish and publish their own books. Commute into downtown Seattle
The RapidRide C Line and two bus routes connect residents directly to downtown, but it can be a long walk to the stops from the neighborhood's south side. For those who prefer to drive, downtown is accessible via 35th Avenue SW and the West Seattle Bridge. "Most workers in the area either work from home or commute into the city," Nutt explains. "The south end generally has better traffic for commuters, and it's easier to get around." Ideally, the drive into the city takes 20 minutes, but with city traffic, it can be 45 minutes. For longer trips, residents enjoy easy access to the Fauntleroy Ferry that goes to the Olympic Peninsula and the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport which is 8 miles south.

Just north of the neighborhood, Endolyne Joe's is a popular restaurant with a rotating menu of specials from cuisines across the Americas. I was born and raised in Seattle WA, where I have lived in the Arbor Heights Neighborhood all my life. I took all of my major milestone events in this area, surrounded by a caring and loving community. They say you will never meet the strangers you walk pass by again, but this location begs to differ. With the vast amount of opportunities, you are given the chance to make lifelong friends even if you are new to the area.
