Just south of U.S. Route 50, Stone Ridge is known for its resident-only amenities and convenience for Washington commuters. Locals can walk to pocket parks, swimming pools and the Nettle Mill Clubhouse, all of which are maintained by the neighborhood HOA. And these amenities are just a few draws for the Aldie, Virginia, community. “It’s incredibly family-friendly,” says Katy Donovan, a Realtor with Keller Williams who has sold several homes in the area. “The public schools are all highly ranked, they have their own swim team and there’s a public library right in the neighborhood.” Stone Ridge also has its own shopping center, and a commuter lot, where buses offer direct rides to places like The Pentagon and Washington, D.C., less than 40 miles east. Most of Stone Ridge was developed between the early 2000s and 2015. Vinyl-façade New Traditional houses sit lots averaging about a fifth of an acre, often covered in young oak trees.
