Much of the warehouses and businesses were converted into townhomes and condominiums, all with views of cruise ships floating down the channel out into Tampa Bay and within walking distance to pop-up restaurants in Sparkman Wharf and public transit leading further downtown. "When I have clients who want a downtown vibe, I bring them to Channelside," says Lorryn Gavin, a Tampa local and Broker for OutFast Realty. Concrete walkways lead under highrise condominiums, providing residents with views of the sparkling bay waters and the Tampa skyline. The area has some of the most expensive housing markets in the city, ranging from $350,000 for condos with 1,000 square feet or less to $900,000 for larger condos and into the million dollar range for luxury residences.
