Highland Pines is a mixed-use neighborhood of attractively priced midcentury homes nestled into the urban communities of southeast Tampa. Initially developed in the 1960s, Highland Pines is home to a traditional neighborhood park, a contemporary skate park and an elementary school. The neighborhood is convenient to a pair of the city’s popular cultural and entertainment districts. “It’s very accessible to Ybor City and downtown Tampa,” says Karen Howell of Keller Williams Tampa Properties, who recently sold a home here. Homes are concentrated in the center of the neighborhood. They are bordered by the Myrtle Hill Memorial Park cemetery to the north, while parks and industrial areas take up much of the south side.
