Drexel Park is a Tucson neighborhood that boasts diversity, its own school and proximity to some well-known attractions. This community between Irvington and Drexel roads neighbors two multi-use parks and sits down the street from a sporting venue that hosts one of the country’s top-rated rodeos. Additionally, several shopping and dining staples showcasing local Hispanic and Southwestern culture surround the area. That includes a specialty grocery store that carries snacks like the popular saladitos stuffed in lemons. “It’s convenient to a lot of shopping. That area, it’s growing quite a bit,” says Eunice Gillis, a Realtor with Coldwell Banker. “In comparison to other areas, you can get the same house … for a better price.” Homes on lots no larger than a quarter acre densely pack the neighborhood. The middle of the community mainly has single-story Craftsman-style homes, some of which come with small courtyards enclosed with concrete, stucco and brick fences and iron gates.
