Why Live in Raceway
Raceway, a neighborhood on the northeastern edge of Tulsa, makes local and international travel easy for residents. The area borders Tulsa International Airport and is surrounded by major expressways, like US-169 and Interstates 244 and 44. This aptly named community is home to Tulsa Raceway Park, which features two race tracks used by professional drivers and local drag racers. The neighborhood is primarily industrial, with residential properties consisting mainly of manufactured homes and ranch-style houses built between the 1960s and 1980s. Investors are also developing new apartment complexes due to the area's convenient location.
The Owasso Public School District serves the area, and students are zoned for Mills Elementary School, Owasso High School and three separate schools for middle grades; all are highly rated. For dining, locals enjoy Christy’s Good Food and Sami’s Breakfast and Lunch. Stores like Target, Walmart, Aldi and Costco are located just outside the neighborhood, as is Mohawk Park, a 3,300 acre-space with a variety of attractions. Mohawk Park includes a 36-hole disc golf course, the Oxley Nature Center, Mohawk Park Golf Course and the Tulsa Zoo. Downtown Tulsa offers more entertainment, events and attractions, like the First Friday Art Crawl and fireworks displays at Veterans Park.
