Wesley Chapel, Florida is located in the Tampa Bay Area, and is home to over 44,000 residents. The city resides in a census-designated place of Pasco County. In the early 2000s, there was a movement to incorporate the region; however, nothing came of it. Wesley Chapel is filled with beautiful homes, and it is a popular location for many Florida homeowners. Many homes are larger in size, and there are several luxury homes for sale.
The city is conveniently located to major cities. It is approximately 25 miles from Downtown Tampa, which is particularly appealing for people who commute to work. In addition, the city is close to major transportation hubs, including Interstate 275 and Interstate 75. The region was originally called Double Branch. However, community residents renamed it after the Methodist church in the area. The majority of residents in the area are white. There are also a good portion of blacks, Asians, Latinos, and Native Americans. Nearly half of the households have young children living in their homes. However, Wesley Chapel is also home to retired individuals and people who prefer to live alone. Most of these individuals live in houses; however, there is a good portion of apartments in the area.
During the 21st century, Wesley Chapel has experienced substantial growth. This growth can be attributed to the numerous luxury communities dispersed throughout the city. Some of the most popular areas to live include the Preserve at Quail Woods by Southern Crafted Homes, Saddlewood, Citrus Trace, Brooksville, Watergrass, Bridgeview, Country Walk, Seven Oaks, Meadow Point, Villages of Wesley Chapel, Chapel Pins, Northwood, Bridgewater, Saddlebrook, Northwood, and Lexington Homes. In addition to the beautiful homes for sale, there are many townhouses that are newer. There is also a retirement community. Younger residents of the city usually attend one of the schools in the area. The two high schools are brand new and provide wonderful learning opportunities for students. There are also middle schools and elementary schools, many which are newer as well. Wesley Chapel is home to well-planned malls, including The Grove and Cypress Creek Town Center. In addition to the shopping available, residents often like to visit the delicious cafes in the area. The Gadberry Group recently voted Wesley Chapel as one of the "8 boomtowns of 2008."
