Northside-Wheaton is a suburban neighborhood, aptly located north of Wheaton. Many residents can walk to Northside Park, where there's a playground, athletic courts and a pool. Nearby, Cosley Zoo features farm animals, and the Lincoln Marsh Natural Area provides walking trails and fishing. The neighborhood features a variety of home types, including ranch-styles, New Traditionals, as well as historic homes like American Foursquares Cape Cods. Students can attend Longfellow, Washington, or Sandburg Elementary, then move on to Franklin or Monroe Middle, and finally Wheaton North High School, all of which have high ratings. The Pace Bus serves the area, and Wheaton's Metra station makes commutes to Chicago about 45 minutes long.
