A large area forming an elbow shape, York, Pennsylvania’s East Side neighborhood is a mix of detached homes, rowhouses and apartments, plus retail and industrial spaces. The western tip of the neighborhood is only a few blocks from York’s historic downtown area. “During the Revolutionary War, the government moved from Philly to York because they wanted to be on the other side of the Susquehanna River,” says Mitzi Heaton, a Realtor with Coldwell Banker Realty.
