Eastridge is a midcentury suburban neighborhood that blends into the cityscape of east Albuquerque. It is notable for its convenience to major area employers like Kirtland Air Force Base and its access to citywide shopping destinations. “It’s one of those areas where there are more renters than owners,” says Realtor Jim Shive with Keller Williams, who has over 12 years of experience in the area. “It’s close to highways and shopping, and the homes are older and reasonably priced. All of that makes it a great neighborhood for first-time buyers and renters, but there are also lots of people who buy there and stay for a long time.” Midcentury homes are predominant and packed together on Eastridge's streets. Many have drought-resistant landscaping and backyards large enough to accommodate in-ground swimming pools. “Lots of homes in Eastridge are older.
