Huning Castle is an upscale Albuquerque suburb named for a 19th-century mansion that once stood on 700 acres of farmland. Today, the neighborhood is close to some of the city's main attractions, such as ABQ BioPark, Old Town and downtown. "[It's a] very lovely neighborhood, walkable to a ton of restaurants," says Max Maner, a relatively new Realtor with BHHS New Mexico Properties. Huning Castle is also sometimes called the "country club area" as it's also just next door to the Albuquerque Country Club. Aside from location, Maner says the overall condition of the homes is a key draw. "A couple of the homes have been featured in really popular TV shows like 'Breaking Bad' and 'Better Call Saul'." The neighborhood is mainly filled with single-family homes. Architecture is diverse, offering a mix of adobe, Spanish Revival, midcentury modern, Southwestern and ranch-style styles.
