Although it rubs shoulders with both Coronado Center Mall and the major east-west interstate, central Albuquerque neighborhood Quigley Park’s main appeal for prospective homeowners rests on price. “Really, the draw is that it’s affordable because it was a midcentury development,” says Realtor and Broker Laurel Leisher of ERA Summit, who has 6 years of experience in the area. “Because it’s such an older neighborhood, there are mature trees. People still have grass in their lawns occasionally, although it does get to over 100 degrees regularly in the summer, so that’s not super common. It’s central in the city, near a couple of trendy districts, but overall, there isn’t all that much to it. It’s just a sweet, easy neighborhood to live in.” Quigley Park is a decidedly mid-century Southwestern suburb. “Houses here were typically built in the 1950s and 1960s.
