Madison Manor was originally developed in the 1940s, but its growth was spurred by the construction of the East Falls Church Metro station in 1986. The western Arlington neighborhood is primarily residential and features much of its original housing, though many residents have added expansions. The Madison Manor Civic Association hosts a variety of events throughout the year, from block parties and bonfires to holiday decoration contests and summertime picnics, giving locals lots of things to do.
