Northwest Arvada students may begin at Stott Elementary School, which earns a Grade B-plus from Niche. Oberon Middle School educates sixth through eighth graders before students move on to Arvada West High School. Niche gives Oberon a Grade B and Arvada West a Grade B-plus. The high school offers 21 different Advanced Placement (AP) courses and 11 honors level courses in subjects ranging from Chemistry to Spanish. Jeffco Public Schools offers a choice enrollment program so guardians can find other schools and apply to enroll their students if they think another school would be a better fit. Students seeking additional education after graduating from Arvada West report the most interest in attending Colorado State University, the University of Colorado Bouler and the University of Colorado Denver.

Apex adventures and trails to Ralston Valley
This neighborhood’s recreation centers and secluded trails stretch from Apex Center to Oak Park. Apex Recreation Center remains full all year round, from summers when poolgoers lounge in the lazy river to winters as ice skaters glide along the rink. “It’s state of the art, brand new – there’s nothing that you cannot find or do at the Apex,” says Joann Perito, a Broker with Avenues Unlimited, who holds over 26 years of experience selling Colorado real estate. Apex is a part of the North Jeffco Recreation District, which Perito says stays ahead of the trends, noting, “They were doing pickleball 10 years before anybody knew what it was.” Next door, skateboarders try new tricks along the Arvada Skate Park’s ramps, handrails and stairs. Oak Creek creates a platform for children to play, with its forest-themed playground including a climbing wall shaped like a camping tent. Ralston Creek runs through the park with the accompanying trail for bikers and joggers to trek the paved path, which stretches to Ralston Valley Park.
