The suburban neighborhood of Windsor Spring sits about 10 miles from Downtown Augusta and just east of Fort Eisenhower. Things to do nearby include visiting Woodlake Park, which features playgrounds and picnic areas, and Meadowbrook Park, which has ball fields, playgrounds and a walking trail. Eisenhower Lakes Golf Club is located just west of Windsor Spring, and Diamond Lakes Regional Park, about 4 miles south, offers multiple athletic facilities. The South Augusta Farmers Market, held monthly from April through October, brings in residents and visitors for local produce, children’s activities and cooking demonstrations. Windsor Spring is car-dependent, with Route 1 and Interstate 520 helping drivers reach Augusta and other surrounding areas. Downtown Augusta is about 10 miles north, Uptown’s medical district is within 8 miles and Augusta Regional Airport is about 7 miles away. Larger airports in Savannah and Atlanta are roughly 120 and 150 miles away, respectively.
