Downtown Augusta is about 10 miles north, with major employers just a short drive away. You can reach Uptown, the city’s medical district, within 8 miles, while Fort Eisenhower, the area’s largest employer, sits just west. “The biggest draw to that area is that it’s so close to Fort Eisenhower,” says Ramona Murray, a Realtor with VanderMorgan Realty who has nearly a decade of experience in the Augusta market. “It’s 2 to 5 miles away, so if you work there, it’s a good place to be.” Augusta Regional Airport is about 7 miles east of Windsor Spring, Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport in Savannah is roughly 120 miles southeast and Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta is about 150 miles west.

Tobacco Road, the neighborhood’s main commercial corridor, runs through the southern part of Windsor Spring.
