Just north of the neighborhood, Utah Park invites visitors to explore more than 45 acres of fields, trails and athletic facilities surrounding a central pond. Its indoor pool creates year-round aquatic excitement with a winding waterslide and a massive tipping bucket. The similarly sized Jewell Wetlands Park also neighbors Heather Ridge to the north. This wildlife conservation area offers a serene experience with a butterfly garden and nature-enveloped trails. About 1 mile south is the massive Cherry Creek State Park, with hiking and biking trails and a reservoir. “It’s one of the only places nearby where you can have a motorized boat and go have fun on the water,” says Realtor Landin Smith of RE/MAX Professionals.

Students in western Heather Ridge attend Ponderosa Elementary School, while those to the east attend Eastridge Community Elementary.
