Parks, trails and recreation
Paved walking trails throughout the neighborhood lead northeast to Great Plains Park, which has athletic facilities, a playground, a splash pad and picnic tables. Sterling Hills Park and Sterling Hills West Park each have a playground and open field space. Residents can also take a yoga class or swim indoors at the Central Recreation Center, less than a mile east of the neighborhood on South Telluride Street. The Plains Conservation Center stretches across 1,100 acres just west of the community and has miles of rolling trails, a visitor center and a historic homestead. A wide array of wildlife can be spotted from the trails, including bald eagles, red-tailed hawks, coyotes and prairie dogs.

The neighborhood is nice overall, as well as most of the people. There are just some people in this neighborhood that ruin the "niceness" of the area. For example, some leave garbage on other people's lawns, one person revs their car engine at 10 o'clock at night constantly, and a few others blast loud music past the quiet hours. Other than that, it is a clean and comfortable area.
