Homaker Park offers residents several housing options just northeast of Downtown Bakersfield. “There’s a great mobile home park for adults and some condos to the east, but there’s not a lot of single-family homes,” says Judy Miller, a Realtor with Coldwell Banker who has been selling homes in the area for over 20 years. “You’re just north of the Memorial Hospital and close to plenty of shopping and dining.” With a central location, the community offers residents easy access to local amenities and nearby greenspaces along the Kern River.

A collection of planned communities
The Homaker Park area contains various developments. To the north, Royal Palms is an active adult community featuring a variety of modest manufactured homes and community amenities. Homebuyers in this area can find two-bedroom units with carports and covered patios for about $35,000 to $75,000, with access to the community’s clubhouse, golf course and more. “This is a community where you can really get to know your neighbors,” says Miller. Further south, homebuyers can find several gated condo developments. Panorama Gardens features Mid-Century Modern condos built in 1958, with one-bedrooms starting at around $185,000, while homebuyers in the StoneMark community can find two-bedroom condos with private patios starting at around $165,000.
