Yorkshire architecture introduces simple brick and vinyl townhouses and sleek new traditional builds. Many subdivisions here date to the early 2000s, providing homeowners with modern floor plans and updated finishes. Property values start around $300,000 and reach up to $600,000. Towards the lower end, buyers can find a modest townhouse in a sidewalk community or single-story ranches with cross-gabled roofs. The median single-family is $450,000, providing a turnkey experience in uniform houses with small yards in winding subdivisions. A few large brick Colonial Revivals and modern homes with farmhouse and Craftsman inspiration exist on the higher end of the scale. A renowned middle school orchestra program
River Gate Elementary opened its doors to local families in 2009. The school enrolls a large student body of over 800, and Niche.com gives it a grade of B. River Gate regularly invites local food trucks to park on campus to serve staff, parents and neighbors — a unique gesture representing the faculty's commitment to the community. Many students continue their education at Southwest Middle School, which has one of the best orchestra programs in the state and is rated a C-plus by Niche.
