People put chairs and all kinds of things out,” Vega says. Homeowners can also park on the street, but most streets have back alleys where you can access detached garages. The neighborhood is working to improve its biking amenities, specifically by adding more bike lanes to major thoroughfares, such as Archer and Kedzie avenues.

My neighborhood is called Brighton Park and it is in the south side of Chicago. It has the reputation of being dangerous because it is in between two rival gangs. I would not choose to live in this neighborhood because the quality of life is not the best.

I grew up living in this neighborhood. I'm used to the traffic, night life and crime. The crime rates have been higher now, but usually things are okay as long as you don't get into any issues with anyone.
