Why Live in Woodlake
Full of mature trees and sidewalk-lined streets, Woodlake offers a suburban atmosphere 5 miles from downtown Clearwater. The neighborhood features a mix of condos, townhouses and single-family homes less than a mile from shopping, dining, schools and parks. “I used to live nearby in Countryside, and what I liked about that whole area is that it was a good place to raise a family,” says longtime local Joe Koebel, a Realtor with RE/MAX Realtec Group. “There are parks set up in all the right locations, and the people are nice.” Multifamily properties built here in the 1970s range from the high $100,000s to the mid-$200,000s. HOA-free single-family properties, also developed during the ‘70s, feature a variety of styles, from angular midcentury designs to classic ranch-style homes.
These houses don’t come up for sale often, but when they do, they tend to cost between $300,000 and the low $500,000s. The most expensive properties in the neighborhood are also the newest. Montclair Lake was built on the west side between 2017 and 2019. The gated subdivision’s contemporary townhomes range from around the mid $400,000s to the mid $600,000s.
